The Boxycharm May 2015 box is old news, but I just got a chance to review mine. See below for my full review. Boxycharm is a monthly beauty box that send you 4-5 full size products for $21.00 a month, including shipping. Last month’s box had a value of $100—quite a deal for a price that’s just a fifth of that.
The June theme is Sea La Vie. To go along with this theme, the first revealed item was Eslor’s Chlorophyll Lifting Mask. Boxycharm subscribers will be receiving a full size, worth $21.00 (Boxycharm corrected the original $38.00 value listed). A lot of subscribers say they swear by this, so I’m curious to try it. However, I’m not blown away.
As for my mini review of my May box, here are the items I received. As detailed in my Boxycharm May reveal, I received a brow trio and double-ended brow brush from Bodyography, ModelCo Shimmer Bronzer, The Lip Bar lipstick in Kiss Me, and Lauren B nail polish in some awful green shade. Here are pictures of my box contents:
Luckily, one of the brow shades works for me, so I will probably get some use out of that. The bronzer arrived absolutely smashed and crushed beyond repair. I’ll be contacting Boxycharm about that. I applied a bit with my finger, and it was also very orange. Here’s a picture of the damage:
As for the lipstick, it applied smoothly and opaque, but a bit streaky. It was very bright; I don’t even think my camera could capture the true color. It is a bright orangey-pink-red color, very hard to describe. Here’s a picture of The Lip Bar’s Kiss Me on:
I’m also wearing the Brow Trio powder in this photo. I wasn’t that happy with this box overall. The bronzer and nail polish are unusable to me, and the other items didn’t have enough WOW factor to make up for it.
What shades did you get in your Boxycharm May 2015 box? Opinions?
