I recently read an article published by John Picciuto on Elite Daily about why chivalry is dead, from a man’s perspective. In his article, he advises to men is to spend the money to take a girl out to a restaurant because, hey, you’re more likely to get a second date, sex, and good food, too.
I started off my journey with Indie perfumes with Solstice Scents, so it’s about time I came back to them. A few Sundays ago, I picked up two samples from the Solstice Scents Night Collection released in Summer 2014 from the Indie makeup subreddit, Indiemakeupandmore. The ones I had heard the best reviews of were “Heat of the Night” and “Heart of the Night,” so of course, those were the ones I had to try. Read on for my opinions!
This April, I got my monthly Boxycharm beauty box in the mail. Boxycharm is a monthly subscription beauty box that sends you four full-sized and a deluxe sample each month for $21 including shipping. The items usually are makeup related, but they also often send skincare and hair care products as well as perfumes and nail polish.
After my first experience with Indie perfumes, I decided to place an order of samples with Etsy shop Alkemia to try out a few more scents. I chose Alkemia mainly because samples were cheap, about $12 for six samples including shipping ($2 a sample). I had also heard great things about the wear time of Alkemia perfumes. I reviewed my first half of samples in this post and was pleasantly surprised by the majority of my samples. This is a review of the second half of my samples, which had a lot to live up to after last week’s choices!
CO2 regulator systems often cost more than $200, which is a hefty price to pay for a college student. I have a 30-gallon aquarium that is heavily planted, and I would like the plants to grow faster and with less algae and brown spots. Because plants absorb the CO2 in the water to grow, adding more CO2 should fix that problem. So, I’ve decided to attempt to make a CO2 regulator that is loosely based on this Instructable that uses yeast, sugar, and a liter bottle to make CO2.
